Mike Huckabee on The Issues

For those of you who don't have a whole lot of reading time, here is a short synopsis of where Mike stands on the issues that face our country. Each issue has a link to the appropriate page on his website for your further research, if you have time.

ISSUES:

1. Secure Borders - Mike has a very comprehensive 9 point plan for securing America's Borders.
2. PRO - LIFE - Mike supports a constitutional amendment to ban abortion and protect the right to life.
3. Veterans Bill of Rights - Mike supports passage of a veterans bill of rights.
4. Education - Mike supports parental choice of public school and the right to homeschool. Mike also supports music and art education for all children to support the creative side of the brain as well as the logical side.
5. Healthcare - Mike believes that Healthcare should be consumer driven and market based with healthy competition to keep prices low. He is against nationalized or socialized medicine.
6. Taxes and Economy - Mike supports abolishing the IRS and instituting the Fair Tax, a comsumption based tax system that will distribute taxes more evenly, easing the tax burden on the poor and middle class. Mike believes that America is NOT under-taxed, but is over-spending. Government spending must be reigned in. He supports Free-Trade as long as it is FAIR-Trade.
7. Marriage - Mike supports a constitutional amendment defining marriage as 1 man and 1 woman.
8. Energy Independance - Mike has a plan to get the U.S. completely energy independent within 8 years.
9. War on Terror - Mike supports the war on terror, realizes that Iraq is only one battle in the global war, believes we should focus on WINNING it, not pulling out troops before the job is done.
10. Israel - Mike is an ardent support of Israel as our ally.
11. Agriculture - Mike believes that Farm Subsidies are vital to National Security.
12. 2nd Amendment - Mike is a fervent supporter of the right to bear arms.
